We focused on problem solving and civil work with the new K9 teams. Muzzle work and realistic scenario training is what was focused on. As usual we went over recent searches and apprehensions via Officers body cams. A great workshop.

Tactical K9 LLC has been working with Fremont K9 Unit over the years on an as needed bases. Everything from E-collar to advanced Tactical work. After discussions with their OIC it was decided to partnership with Spectrum K9 to participate in a fast track patrol school. Spectrum K9 selected a great canine (K9 Rex) and completed some pre-training with the canine, E-collar work, bite work and beginning search work. The canine was then placed with a very fine handler. The course was set for 4 weeks – the partnership is outstanding and the team is well on its way to certifying for street deployments.

Also a shout out to Jeff Bosnich for organizing the event and working with my schedule. Again, much thanks for the opportunity to teach.

TK9 CONDUCTS MAINTENANCE WORKSHOP AND CERTIFICATION NEW K9 TEAM – FREMONT K9 UNIT

Tactical K9 conducted the final week of training for Fremont K9 Unit. K9 Rex and Handler Joey De Stefano. We spent a day or so proofing the team and then completed all facets of certification. We are expecting this team to do great things – the China Virus has surely put a damper on police work but this will change in the near future. Good luck Joey and K9 Rex.
